This sculptural walnut bowl is robotically carved and hand-finished, combining digital fabrication with traditional craftsmanship. Its surface features an unique diagrid pattern - a repeating network of intersecting diagonal lines that forms a field of rounded, diamond-like recesses. The diagrid geometry morphs across the curved top surface surface of the bowl, giving the pattern a rhythmic quality reminiscent of the intricate radial geometry found in traditional mandalas.
Measuring 10" in diameter and 2.4" tall, the bowl features a 5" wide central dish, perfect for holding keys, jewelry, coins, or other small keepsakes. Each piece is carved from solid walnut hardwood and carefully finished by hand.
